If we were going to the park to play ball with the guys, our mothers would bag a PBJ sandwich and hand it to us with an admonition to 'be home before your father gets home for dinner' and push us out the door. We had good imaginations and great friends. Fifty cents could last us all week. Nobody cared what you wore, because we pretty much all wore hand-me-downs from our older brothers.

Went to our WalMart in Beaufort, SC yesterday. 1st time in over a month. It now has the new price stickers with a camera. UGH.
ReplyDeleteWe made go karts out of roller skates before go karts were invented. Pushed each other around the driveway for hours. That driveway looks so small now.
