This Mom is seen pulling a fishing hook out of a shark’s jaws in North Carolina. Wild footage shows a mum at Cape Hatteras, North Carolina carefully removing a wire from the mouth of a beached shark using pliers.
She pins down the animal between her legs and attempts to free it. The shark wriggles around in discomfort as the she fearlessly grabs its mouth with her bare hands. Video captures the beachgoer using pliers to pull the hook out of the it’s jaws. She calms down the shark and helps it return to the water.
The woman and her family were fishing in the area when the shark caught the bait and ran them about 200 yards down the beach. A crowd then gathered to watch as the family pulled the shark to shore and tried to get the hook out of its mouth.“She released him quickly after.”
Shark fishing is legal in the state of Florida, but is strictly regulated by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to protect apex predator populations.
I wouldn't call that brave, more like stupid. She'll learn the hard way.
