A South Florida restaurant is garnering attention for its dress code, or lack thereof. On the first Monday every month, CLASS Soiree Steakhouse, located at 121 N. 20th Ave. in Hollywood, holds an evening where diners are allowed to partake in a yummy meal without wearing any clothes.
Chef and owner Maurad Ali came up with the concept as a way to attract new business and generate some buzz. Ali said there is a market for this kind of experience, and that the staff are well trained and respectful of their customers. “I’m the chef and owner, my crew, we are all professionals,” said Ali.
He said the restaurant is expecting around 20 people for the latest naked dining experience. Tickets are $250 for men, $150 for women or $300 for couples. Ali said it’s a five-star experience dripping with class and elegance.
“Once you walk through the door, I’ll most likely be nude, no clothes on, so when you come in you do feel more comfortable,” said hostess Tashaeba Hart. As for the legality of the concept, Local 10 News went to city officials. “Yes, it’s legal,” said Joann Hussey, a spokesperson for the city of Hollywood. “It’s legal because the staff members working are clothed.”
There's a left-handed logic if ever you heard one. It's not public nudity - which may not actually be illegal, and it's okay because the waiters aren't naked. Gotcha...

Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s promised city-owned grocery stores won’t require ID from shoppers, his administration confirmed Monday - allowing non-New Yorkers to take advantage of the discounted goods. The five planned taxpayer-subsidized stores - which are set to sell a “core basket of goods” at 30% below retail prices - will offer a free, voluntary membership card program, though documents show it will not require a residency check.
Mamdani administration officials revealed the membership program last week when facing questions from reporters about how they’d stop bad actors from buying in bulk and taking advantage of the deals on offer.
Bear in mind, these stores will be subsidized by the City, so all taxpayers in NYC will be paying to keep the prices low - presumably for people who don't pay taxes.

In Detroit, Michigan, drive-thru customers are not allowed to eat in their cars. Detroit City Code, Sections 50-12-310 and 50-12-311, prohibits people from eating or drinking while on restaurant property.
The law specifically notes that parked cars are included in the ban, and seems to be aimed more at loitering than distracted driving. Restaurants are required to post signs, and violators could be fined.

I don't know about the WPBL ( the regular PBL, other than the beer, is the Professional Bull Riders, so make of that what you will ) , but I always enjoy watching the women's college softball games - those gals are GOOD, especially the pitchers !

ReplyDelete50 states count and recount every election. In 2020 most swings states held recounts, some like AZ and GA held multiple recounts (some done by third parties like the Cyber Ninja recount in AZ).
We had over 60 cases litigated in court with some reaching the steps of the SCOTUS and ALL of those cases have come back with the same result. No fraud.
You, and others like you, believe our elections are insecure because you have been told for years that they are but never presented any evidence that there is any fraud of scale that would change the outcome of any election. You keep pointing to 3 cases here, 19 there but fail to understand that no human system is 100% secure there will always be mistakes. The real question is how secure is secure enough? Is 99% enough, do we need 99.9% or 99.99999999% secure.
You believe that democrats cheat in elections because that is what people you trust say. Yet Republicans control the White House, Senate, House and Supreme Court. If Democrats cheat and millions of illegals vote, and blacks/latinos vote 4-5 times each.... how is it possible that Democrats control no lever in Washington, less than half the governorships and almost 1/3 of the states legislatures? Seems like not only elections work but Republican win more often than democrats.
How is it possible that party that cheats as much as you think looses this often? I thought the whole purpose of cheating was winning?

DeleteIf everything is so verified why not show ID. How about when registering to vote have proof of citizenship. That way only US citizens can vote. Get rid of mail in voting. Make election day a holiday so everyone is off. Get the blue dye for your finger so you can only vote once. Use paper ballots. Count the votes out in the open with witnesses. All these things are cheap and easy to do.

DeleteJoe Biden supposedly got 81 million votes, the most by ANY presidential candidate says it all. When you just re-count the same false ballots, of course you'll come out with relatively the same number. Those cases you mentioned were not litigated, there was no discovery. Judges threw them out before that could happen, many times claiming the plaintiffs "lacked standing".
DeleteWeird that over the last few years we start to see the trickle turning into a flood of irregularities. 200,000 mishandled, maybe miscounted ballots in GA where FJB "won" by just over 50k. Also in GA, mail in ballots (shown on TV!) sent to dead people and dogs. Nope nothing to see here.
If the voting was all on the up and up, why not open the records wide. Let people embarrass themselves in front of the whole world if they would find nothing? Instead, the Dems fight it at every turn. Wonder why?
I'm 65-year-old man. I think the greatest torture for us men is your mind still remembers, desires and relishes your younger days when these women were not only available to you, but actively pursuing you. Now age and sometimes infirmity make it all a distant memory. Pure torture.

ReplyDeleteI love these stats that say things like WayMo are 68% less often. What does that mean exactly the way it is worded is strange and that makes me suspicious. Waymo are in use all the time. Humans drive only a percentage of their day. Who did they compare them to? Taxi drivers? I used to use statistics all the time in work and you can use them to prove anything if you select what questions you ask and of whom you ask.
