Ya just can't get it over there for some reason...

World Cup fans fell in love with America for a funny reason: ranch dressing. Visitors coming to the United States have apparently enjoyed it so much that some have tried packing bottles to take back home to the UK, which says a lot about how even something as simple as a salad dressing can become part of the American experience.
People came here for the games, but they leave talking about the culture, the friendliness, and the sheer fun of everyday life. Even ranch dressing became a little symbol of that - a very American thing that travelers enjoyed enough to want to smuggle home. Sometimes it’s the big moments, and sometimes it’s a bottle of ranch in a suitcase.
I'll be bringing two bottles with me to Belfast next month -
if we decide to do checked luggage...

  1. I wonder if any of them tried to smuggle "biscuits and gravy"???

  2. You can also bring plenty of dry mix packets and make it fresh in Ireland. Might even be able to trade em for drinks? Eddie

  3. Discovered The Colonies are pretty cool…next they’ll be bringing back air conditioners, sweet tea, and ice machines, which apparently don’t exist in The Motherland.

  4. I'm perplexed by this. I'm in the UK, and do sometimes see Ranch Dressing in the shops. I've tried it...it was underwhelming IMHO. (oh, and I write this sitting beside my AC unit, and with a long drink with ice from my Ice Machine.) Could it be that...this factoid is AI generated slop?
