It's 60 minutes later than you think, Scott...

If he'da just shut the fuck up and went along with the new program, he'd still be garnering a rather substantial paycheck, but he had to prove that, no matter how many Emmys or Grammies you have, telling the new boss he's a jackass isn't such a great idea.
CBS has fired Scott Pelley, a longtime correspondent for its 60 Minutes program, after he reportedly said Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss was “murdering the show” and accused its new producer of having “slender qualifications” for the job. The firing on Tuesday deepened the turmoil at the most influential TV news programme in the US, days after a leadership overhaul.
Hopefully, the show will lean back a bit more to the center of things and lose some of it's tree-huuger, climate activist status under new management. Juss' sayin'...

Florida used to have over 100 drive-in movie theaters. On any given Friday night in the 1950s and 60s, families across the state would pile into their cars and head to a patch of gravel under the open sky. The speaker on the window. The smell of popcorn drifting from the snack bar. The Florida night air coming in warm through the glass.
At its peak, Florida had drive-ins from Pensacola to Miami Beach. The Miracle Drive-In in Jacksonville. The Sunset in Tampa. The Trail in Miami. They were cheap, they were communal, and they were unmistakably Florida. By the 1980s, most were gone. Land values climbed, multiplexes arrived, and the gravel lots became strip malls and parking garages. A few survived into the 2000s. Almost none remain today.
This is the Florida that residents carry with them: not the theme parks, not the condos, but the Friday nights under a sky full of stars, watching a movie from the front seat of a Chevy.

Spencer Pratt has confidently claimed he’s already looking ahead to a November runoff as election results Tuesday night showed him comfortably in second place behind incumbent Mayor Karen Bass.

“She knows it’s on. I hope she’s ready,” Pratt said on Tuesday. “I literally could not be more excited. I am ready for whatever God puts in front of me,” he said.

It's a recriprical love fest we have going on between him and me. He posts pictures of beautiful women. I share them with you here every afternoon, and then you guys go to his Facebook poage to see more. I then let him know that I did share one, and he goes to my link, and shares that link with his readers on Facebook. I thank him for doing it, and he, in turn, sends readers to the blog. Following me so far? Film at Eleven. By the way, his name's Skip,  and he's from West Tennessee, in case you were wondering...

  1. When 60 Minutes went woke I stopped watching, it turned into propaganda.

  2. Ref #15 - "an inconvenient truth": A 21st Century wonder occurred when the past 50+ years of imminent and total destruction of the Earth was miraculously cancelled out with the creation of "the Data Center". If only someone had discovered this marvel sooner, nations (and individuals) wouldn't have wasted hundreds of billions of dollars and needlessly scared the bejesus out of several generations of Americans and Europeans. But alas the climate change industry simply couldn't be undone until another industry was ready to stand up and take its place.

  4. The American Dream is dead in commiefornia unless you're something other than white. Ask Joe Rogan, Elon Musk and Hollywood celebs why they left. The rest of us who can't leave have no joy in Hooterville (Petticoat Jct, not the restaurant, perverts).

  5. I pay $150 a year for amazon shipping, that used to be 2 days and is now whenever they feel like it. Something wrong with every order or damaged goods you can't return or get a refund on. Not a good comparison.
