He found his mother. She was working in the next aisle...

A Michigan man named Steve Flaig spent about four years searching for his birth mother after he asked his adoption agency for information at age 18. In 2007, he finally found the correct spelling of her last name and got an address near his workplace.
Then came the shock: his boss recognized the name as “Chris” Tallady, a head cashier who already worked at the same Lowe’s store as Flaig, just outside Grand Rapids.  Flaig worked as a delivery driver at a Lowe's store, while his birth mother, Christine Tallady, also worked at the same location.
Flaig had known her only as a co-worker. The adoption agency contacted her, and she learned the son she had placed for adoption years earlier was working with her at the store. Sometimes, the family you’re searching for is closer than you ever imagined.

  1. I knew a woman who was committed to a mental hospital. Read about her a few years later, after she met her birth mother, restarted her life and is doing well. The truth may not always set us free, but if often does.
