Imagine this if you can. The democrat's Presidential candidate pool is so shallow, AOC has emerged as the leading candidate in a new survey for the 2028 Democratic presidential primary, receiving 26% of the votes. This figure is notably twice that of Kamala Harris, who garnered just 12.9% of the support. The poll, conducted by AtlasIntel, included 13 Democratic candidates for respondents to choose from, with prominent figures like Pete Buttigieg at 22.4% and California Gov. Gavin Newsom at 21.2%.
AOC has not dismissed the idea of a presidential run. In a recent conversation she expressed that her ambitions are “way bigger” than simply holding a title or position. “They assume my ambition is a title or a seat. My ambition is to change this country,” she stated, reinforcing her focus on long-lasting policy changes.
Additionally, she has kept the door open for a possible Senate run, which could lead to a challenge against current Senate Minority Leader Chuck E. Schumer.

Scrapple's a VERY Pennsyltucky kinda thing. Never had it, and based on what I learned about it growing up there's a good chance I never will. Scrapple is pretty much the red pin on the right hand side of my hunger meter, if ya get my drift.

The State Department told Reuters on Tuesday that the two countries are trying to find common ground on efforts to pressure Iran to give up control of the vital waterway.

I remember my Father's admonition when he heard somebody bitching about the price of a pizza when we were a short line wating to pick up the food we'd ordered in Salerno's pizzeria in New Jersey. When he got up to the counter he saw how pissed off the guy behind the register was, and he leaned over to him and half-whispered/half-shouted 'There's people like those assholes who know the cost of everything and the value of nothing. Fuck 'em'
I can - to this very day - see and hear him saying that. Profound of him, no?

I think she was mis-quoted yesterday in a comment she may or may not have made about travelling to the sun. It was reported she said 'Of course it would be possible to do it, but they'd have to go at night'.

How times have changed. Mafia members on scooters ride behind a horse-and-cart race in Sicily. 'New school' mafia guys were caught on camera firing AK47s from the backs of scooters as they sped behind an illegal horse-and-cart race. Think of any mob guy you know of. Would they do stupid shit like that? Jeez...

In addition to dealing with a more price-conscious consumer, Publix sparked controversy late last year when it updated its policy to allow shoppers to openly carry firearms in its over 900 Florida store locations, further threatening its sales. The change followed a Florida appeals court’s ruling in September that overturned the state’s open carry ban. Some Publix customers threatened to boycott the grocery chain over the policy change. Others even started a petition demanding that the company reverse its open carry policy. A total of only 1,600 people signed the petition, but that was enough for Publix to cave on the issue.
