The steps of Montmarte...

The steps of Montmartre typically refer to the Rue Foyatier, a famous, uninterrupted stone staircase running straight up to the Sacré-Cœur Basilica in Paris. The climb consists of exactly 222 steps. If you want to reach the top but need a break from the stairs, you can ride the Montmartre Funicular, which runs right alongside the steps and only costs a standard Paris metro ticket.
At the top you will get panoramic views of Paris, which are especially stunning at sunset or night. The steps are a known hotspot for scams and pickpockets. Keep your belongings secure, and don't let anyone distract you by trying to tie string around your wrist.
If you want a more leisurely and scenic - albeit hilly - walk, bypass the main staircase and wander toward the quiet cobblestone streets like Rue de l'Abreuvoir.

Do you like a strong cup of tea? I found this in Belfast a long time ago.
It's the best tea I've ever tasted. Buying it in packs of four boxes
reduces the cost to just 20 cents per cup.
