Maybe he's a harbinger of doom, but he sure ain't funny...

During “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” Kimmel played a clip of Giuliani, 81, remarking on his podcast that the not-funny talk show host is “one of the most distasteful human beings in this country.” “I have to say, it hurts to be called distasteful by a man who farted his own pants off in front of Borat’s daughter,” Kimmel, 58, responded.
“Kimmel was making believe that he was hosting the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, which I think he did once, I don’t know. Probably once… and about four people probably watched it, and he bombed like usual,” the two-term mayor continued in the clip. “This is supposed to be a comedian,” Giuliani raved. “He’s also like an incompetent jackass.”
“I have to say, it’s confusing to be called an incompetent jackass by a man who accidentally held a press conference outside a dildo store, who doesn’t seem to have any understanding of when videos are running and when they aren’t, and has a gallon of squid ink dribbling off the top of his head,” Kimmel fired back at “America’s mayor.” “Does this man have any family members who can come get him already?”
At what point is anything Kimmel said funny? I really have to wonder what kind of choir he's preaching to, because I haven't heard him spew anything but venom since he's been on TV - not that I watch that late-night shit anyway...

Spirit’s decline accelerated after a federal judge sided with the U.S. Department of Justice in January 2024, blocking the merger on antitrust grounds. Regulators, backed by the U.S. Department of Transportation under then-Secretary Pete Buttigieg, argued the deal would reduce competition and raise fares. Without the merger, Spirit remained independent but financially vulnerable.
By mid-2024, the airline faced multiple challenges: grounded aircraft tied to engine issues, rising debt obligations, and increased competition from larger carriers matching its low fares. Those pressures led to a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in late 2024 and continued service cuts into 2025.
Buttigieg had argued at the time that preserving competition would protect consumers from higher fares and reduced flight options. Senator Elizabeth Warren echoed that stance in 2024, calling the blocked merger “a win for flyers” and warning consolidation would harm competition. Critics now argue the decision removed a potential lifeline for Spirit, accelerating its financial collapse.

A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit aimed at halting construction of a major offshore wind project off the coasts of New Jersey and New York, dealing a setback to residents and advocacy groups who argued the turbines would harm coastal communities.

U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi granted a motion to dismiss filed by Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind, rejecting claims brought by Save Long Beach Island and several Shore residents who sought to block the project’s development in the New York Bight.

Today in History: The U.S. Buys the Panama Canal from France
This morning in Panama, 162 years ago, French authorities handed over the keys to their canal building operations in Panama.
They had begun building a canal across Central America 25 years earlier. But they had run out of money and workers. Tropical diseases and dangerous work had killed over 20,000 French canal workers.
The U.S. took over the project after paying France $40 million. It was just a small part of the total bill that would approach $400 million — an amount close to $13 billion in today’s money.
It remains one of the greatest achievements of engineering and human endurance. A canal across 51 miles with 12 lock systems that included cutting an 85-foot-deep valley through the Continental Divide.

This is an online ad that keeps popping up on websites I visit. A similar one featuring an AI-generated asian woman keeps appearing when I watch TV. With that much saturation and exposure,  it has got to be a huge fuckin' scam. Anybody have any ideas about this? Have you been seeing it also? Chime in...

  5. I'm getting ads on YouTube about the tai chi run and walk. All the same dialogue with different characters.
Same with ads for "learning to communicate." Same dialog different people.
Same with doctor recommendations. Same talk word for word different doctor.
It's all about paid views. The longer they talk the more revenue.
They could say it in 10 minutes but drag it out to 35 mins or more.

    1. There's a pretty good sized crater at the Nevada test site where they tested to see if it was feasible. They planed the nuke for maximum dirt displacement. Bonus: the crater is glass lined.

  9. I bought the Tai Chi program and it's a loser; the exercises are better geared to wheelchair bound nursing home residents.
