Well I’ll be dammed. Wild video captured a beaver attacking a small child while he was fishing in a New Jersey lake - after earlier pouncing on other unsuspecting visitors.
The unidentified 8-year-old boy was with his family at Lake Henry in the Continental Soldiers Park complex in Mahwah around 6 p.m. Sunday “when the beaver exited the lake and charged him,” police told News 12 New Jersey.
Cellphone footage shared on Facebook shows the boy’s relatives trying to get the child out of the water and away from the beaver - just for the furious animal to give chase. One of the relatives kicked the animal as a pet dog also joined the fray, before someone managed to fling the wild attacker back into the water.
That is one seriously pissed off Beaver. The boy was transported to a local hospital by EMS crews for treatment. The extent of his injuries isn’t known.

Hope it was not rabid.
ReplyDelete"Wild Beaver attacks young boy...Film at 11:00" That's how the local news out of NYC would have reported it back in the day. LOL.
ReplyDeleteMaybe don’t harass the Beaver ever again. Wild animals don’t attack randomly.
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was that beaver has rabies and what do ya know https://www.nbcnewyork.com/new-jersey/beaver-attack-boy-nj-lake-positive-rabies/6498722/
ReplyDeleteA few years ago, there was a story about a guy who saw a beaver on the side of the road, so he stopped his vehicle, got out, and approached it. The beaver bit him on his thigh and punctured his artery. The guy bled out and died within minutes.
ReplyDeleteBeavers are generally a very nasty animal. Best to avoid them.
