How can you get a College Education for free - but there's a catch, There always is.

MIT, one of the most respected universities in the world, did something that changed the meaning of access to education: it opened the doors of its classrooms to the entire planet. Through MIT OpenCourseWare, the university made materials from thousands of real MIT courses available online for free, giving anyone with an internet connection the chance to study subjects like engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, economics, biology, and more without paying tuition or needing to be admitted. These materials can include lecture notes, assignments, exams, videos, readings, and course outlines from classes taught at one of the world’s most prestigious institutions. It does not replace earning an MIT degree, but it does offer something powerful: the chance to learn from MIT-level resources at no cost
For a student in a small town, a self-taught programmer, a teacher looking for better materials, or someone rebuilding their future from scratch, this is more than a website - it is a reminder that knowledge should not belong only to those who can afford elite classrooms.

MIT proved that education can travel beyond campus walls, across borders,
and into the hands of anyone hungry enough to learn.

  1. Sadly the piece of paper is worth more to most employers than the actual knowledge.
