A TikTok video shows another, larger fishing vessel coming up on the guy in the floaty, a bit baffled by what they’re seeing. “What are you doing,” yells somebody onboard the boat. “I’m catching a shark,” replies the man in the floaty.
Based on the video, the guy had been fishing near the beach in Fort Lauderdale when he hooked onto the shark and was dragged four miles offshore. Once they figure out what’s going on, the crew on the boat tosses the man a line and get him onboard.
Once onboard, the floaty guy proceeds to grab the rod and land the shark. The video cuts off after that and it’s unclear what happens next, but what is clear is that this dude just went for one hell of a ride.
