The adult Cleveland Guardians fan who ripped a home run ball away from an 11-year-old girl during Monday’s game acknowledged it was a “bad decision” as he faces a wave of online backlash. Max Quinn said it was a “heat-of-the-moment thing” while discussing his actions during the bottom of the fifth inning after the Guardians’ Daniel Schneemann hit a two-run home run to right field at Progressive Field on Monday. “I’m so utterly sorry for everything that’s transpired,” Quinn told WJW on Wednesday. “I made a bad decision; a lot of bad decisions. I’m paying for it online.”
The viral video — which was captured by the Rays broadcast — showed Quinn bobbling the home run catch before the souvenir landed near a young girl, Evelyn, who was coming down the steps to try and get the ball, only for Quinn to run over and snatch it away. What a dick...

Whaaaat?
ReplyDeleteHe did not blame Trump for his poor decision?
The asshole said he was paying for it on line...he didn't say he was giving it back....
ReplyDeleteMeh, odds are she will vote for AOC in 2032
ReplyDeleteMy automatic impulse running through my pea-brain is give 'everything found right now' to the nearest kid. The last ball game I visited, I was seated behind the dugout and a player walking in idly tossed a ball to me, I bobbled the unexpected catch and immediately passed it to a five year old a couple seats down. Made the kid's day. That dood in the story was one inch away from being a hero...
ReplyDeleteCleveland fan, that's all you had to say. Nice catch a-hole, the ball hit him right in the hands. Maybe if he used his big gut, he might have caught the ball. That was embarrassing enough, then snatching it away from a little girl is certainly a dick move.
ReplyDeleteIs that her dad just sitting there, watching his little girl get push around like that? If so, there are two azz holes in that moment.
