Pardon me for never having notice this (well, actually 'those')...

Louis Prima, Keely Smith, Sam Butera & The Witnesses "Just A Gigolo & I Ain't Got Nobody".

Maybe it's the lighting in this video, or maybe it's that old-style 'cross your heart bra' she's sporting. Maybe I just never thought to notice, but damn, son, Keely's got some kinda substantial rack working there. How could I have never noticed that before? Juss' sayin'...

  1. Zero personality there.Tits or no tits that's no turn on. Does she act that bored in bed?

    1. The deadpan look was part of her act, at least with Prima. It didn't always work, but when it did, it was great. An example- the Prima version of Night Train. She just kills it with the 'oh grow up' stare. Total counterpoint to the music and to Prima's gyrations.

In passing- that version (Prima's) is THE exemplar of the Night Train gritty, bump 'n grind, cabaret smoker. Small group, tenor sax lead, over the top . No disrespect to Jimmy Forest or King Curtis, but Night Train isn't an orchestral. Buddy Morrow's trombone version almost gets it, but again the big band gets in the way of the sensual, dirty erotic wail the theme demands. Prima's version is iconic.

  2. What Keely lacked in looks she made up with her voice (and big knockers). She also had affairs with Sam Giancana, and Frank Sinatra after she divorced Louis Prima she was in a relationship with Clint Eastwood, so I'm guessing there was more to her than meets the eye.

  3. I saw that very video on my FB reels. Outstanding detail, as you said. I watched it about ten times, does that make me weird?

  4. Keely Smith was cast as Lucas Doolin's (Robert Mitchum) Gal-Pal nightclub singer Francie Wymore
in the 1958 cult classic "Thunder Road". Keely was very shapley and stacked as well (or better than)
many of Hollywood's Golden Era Superstars.

  5. "Maybe not the best looking babe..." but about what most of us marry so I'm not going to call her other than plenty good enough if she's got a nice personality.
