Here's another reason to hate the Dodgers...

Errol Segal, the 81-year-old die-hard fan who has held season tickets for a staggering 50 years, found himself in the ultimate pickle when the team essentially told him his money was good, but his flip phone wasn’t.
Despite half a century of loyalty - long before the era of QR codes - the Dodgers flat-out refused to provide Segal with paper tickets for the 2026 season, effectively shutting him out of games.
Holding up a relic of a flip phone that definitely doesn’t support the MLB Ballpark app, Segal told local reporters that he doesn’t have an iPhone. In fact, he doesn’t know how to use a computer, either.

An iron-fisted “digital-only” policy seems to be the issue - which the Dodgers refused to waive even after Segal offered to pay extra for the privilege of a paper ticket.
In with the new and fuck the old. Bad policy. Fuck the Dodgers...

  1. Until people refuse to buy the product nothing will change. It's not just the Dodgers. 18 dollars beers and 12 dollar hot dogs are what you get. They have a fuck the fans attitude because the fans show up and drop their britches for the joy and thrill of being allowed in the stadiums the taxpayer(us) are paying for to watch the millionaires play a game.
If you want to watch baseball try minor league, townball or even high school and little league games. MLB can KMA

  4. what's a Dodgers?
There used to be Da Brooklyn Dodgers who played at Ebbets Field until the end of September 1957; then they fell into a cosmic black hole and disappeared forever.

  5. I don't 'do' apps. Period. They're just tracking ware, ad ware, bloat ware, etc. Either have a dedicated website for business to mail me a hard copy, or we don't do business. Period. I don't 'do' apps.

  6. Paper tickets are a thing of the past in most areas. How does he do it when he needs to fly?
You can get paper boarding passes but paper tickets were phased out 8 years ago.

Time to catch up with the times. Get a friend with a printer and have him print all your QR codes and problem is solved.

    1. I’m guessing that at 81 years old he’s not flying anymore. My dad pretty much stopped in his mid 70’s.
