Does the word inscrutable still mean what we think it means?

The Federal Communications Commission just banned the sale of any new Wi-Fi routers that are not US-made, citing national security...

Late on Monday afternoon, the FCC announced the order, based on a White House determination that foreign-made routers introduce “supply chain vulnerabilities” that hackers and cyberspies can exploit. Specifically, the commission updated its “covered list,” which acts as a blacklist of telecom equipment deemed to pose an unacceptable risk to US national security. It now includes “all consumer-grade routers produced in foreign countries.”
Having taken this action, the FCC stresses, “This action does not affect any previously purchased consumer-grade routers. Consumers can continue to use any router they have already lawfully purchased or acquired.”

The Woodward Avenue Presbyterian Church, also known as St. Curvy Church, is a historic church located at 8501 Woodward Avenue in Detroit, Michigan. It was designed by architect Sidney Rose Badgley and completed in 1911. The church is an example of Gothic Revival architecture and features intricate stonework, stained glass windows, and a tall spire.
Throughout its history, the Woodward Avenue Presbyterian Church played an important role in the religious and social life of Detroit. It was known for its vibrant congregation and active community outreach programs However, the church faced challenges in the latter half of the 20th century, as Detroit experienced economic decline and population loss.
The congregation dwindled, and the building eventually fell into disrepair. Due to financial difficulties, the Woodward Avenue Presbyterian Church was closed in 2005. Since then, it has been left vacant and has suffered from neglect.

Do you like a strong cup of tea? I found this in Belfast a long time ago.
It's the best tea I've ever tasted. Buying it in packs of four boxes
reduces the cost to just 20 cents per cup.

  1. LaGuardia, not Idlewild/JFK . Supposedly, the fire truck was responding to another incident, and had been cleared to cross the runway - sounds like a tragic mistake by the folks in the tower .

  2. Fireman asked for and received permission from the tower to cross. The tower F’d up. And have admitted so.

  3. The firetruck requested permission to cross the runway. The tower granted permission. It was NOT the firetruck's fault.

  4. here the thing with bases outside "conus". they make a killing off US troops. yup. everything from housing to beer is over priced for the troops. enough said on that stupid shit. here another dumb fuck idea, why on earth do we have to bring in all of the assholes from the 3rd world shitholes ? is there a "good reason" why we have to have them here ?
I like to hear why? FOR SOME REASON THEY BRING IN THOUSANDS OF THESE LOSERS TO LIVE OFF THE TAXPAYERS.
WHY ? it not like they doing anything to help us here. most seem to live off Gov't. bennies that WE pay for .
and we have people born and raised here who have paid into the "system" that get left behind over these assholes ?
when they started putting them up in 5 star hotels and giving them money just for coming here ? that really pissed me off to no end. the clowns doing this kind of crap have no real idea how much people loathe them for it.
don't think so? ask around any supermarket on old folks shopping days, you know when they get 10% off.
look at what they buy and compare it to what the freeloaders buy. ask them if you have the balls to listen to them.
they will sure give you a earful about it all. BTW, I paid taxes every year since 1970. I have never gotten much back in the way of anything. there is a lot wrong with our Gov't clowns that needs to be fixed or something.

    1. I feel for you my man. The government has clearly screwed you. You have been paying taxes since 1970 and yet still can't seem to know how to express a coherent thought in written form!
One more example of our failed education system. Though I must say that if you were paying taxes in the 70s the system has been failing for quite some time now.

  5. Good luck finding an American made router for home use. Best to buy some now while you still can and store them in the closet for when your current one dies.

    1. Isn't it "funny" that the Starlink router is made in the USA?
It is almost like the government is making it easier for Elon to make more money. Isn't it funny how this keeps happening? If I were a conspiracy theorist I would be inclined to believe that Elon has some sort of pull with the government

    2. I don't even think the Starlink router is made in Texas as claimed, it's assembled there with the pieces imported from overseas. Manufactured and assembled is not the same thing and assembled doesn't meet FCC requirements. On this topic, has anybody received their made in the USA Trump gold phone yet? That thing was a rebranded Chinese phone that's available at a MUCH lower price.

  6. yeah, Republican used to mean something. most "say" the right words until they get in office. then it all about what can they get for themselves. the word means almost nothing any more to me. they have held the house and senate and the
white house and haven't done shit to stop the big steal going on for the last what 30 or more years ?
NO one has been brought on charges that would have anyone of us in prison for years ! they skate on all of it.
about the only thing they can do is seem to bitch about the 'other side" all the while not doing shit to stop any of it ?
it all a big ass joke anymore. and people wonder why I don't watch the "news' or even have a TV.

  7. I used to drive fuel trucks at an airport and, as noted, you have to receive the tower/ground control's permission to cross any runway or taxiway. Lot of lights at night at a big airport, a couple of landing lights will blend into the rest of them are easy to miss. You are trusting the guy in that tower to get it right and this one is solidly, and sadly, on that ground controller.
