You musta seen me bitchin' this morning about it being only 41 degrees when I went outside at 6:30. It did finally climb all the way up to about 50-something by afternoon, but still - fuck this fuckin' winter shit already. Our buddy up in Alaska - P2 - chimed in saying it was -49 there yesterday. That's a number my feeble brain can't comprehend.
This ain't why I moved here. I moved here to Florida for palm trees and sunshine, and well, this year ends up being the worst/coldest winter in Florida in like 40-something years. So much so it even killed the friggin' palm tress. I shit you not. This is on my street:
The tree guys are gonna make a fortune this spring.
I hate cold weather - my blood is too thin for this shit. Juss' sayin'...

I agree. I moved here for the sunshine and warm weather, and am thankful I did. I could not have survived this winter in the north east, freezing cold, snow and no sunshine. At least here in Florida the sun shines even when it's 40.

ReplyDeleteI am in SC low country and woke up to 39 it is way to low. I do not like the north's weather as I have been there a few times.
ReplyDeleteI spent 2 years in the Navy at NAS Key West. It went down to 40 degrees one night and I actually thought I was going to die.
