Aerial images obtained exclusively by The Post show a sprawling waterfront compound spanning multiple adjacent lots on Indian Creek, a gated barrier island nicknamed “Billionaire Bunker” for its ultra-wealthy residents, including David and Victoria Beckham, Tom Brady and Jeff Bezos, among others.
Think about that for a minute - just for the perspective. People so rich that they can plunk down nearly $ 200,000,000.00 for a place to sleep and eat. Unbelievable...

I take my boat around Indian Creek almost weekly. 90% of the house have no people most of the time. Meaning, these people have so much money that they sink $200 million not for a place to eat and sleep but for a place to eat and sleep a few times per year.
ReplyDeleteTo make things worse most of the times one of this houses is sold for $200million the new owner tears it down and rebuilds a new mansion that more closely reflects their tastes.
I'm not a socialist, I'm a capitalist. I own and operate my business, but when you see these places you start to understand how people may come to a "tax the rich out of existence" point of view.
By the way, Ivanka and Jared also live on the island.

ReplyDeleteWell good for them. I don't have the time or inclination to give a damn about how the super rich live. I live my own life and enjoy what I have and what I do. Being jealous of someone's wealth is a stone waste of time. A woman who worked for me years ago would often say to me, it must be nice to be rich. I worked my butt off to get what I got and didn't spend my time worrying about what someone else had. If she had spent more time working instead of bitching she would have been far more successful in her life.
