The image in my greeting this morning shows a famous shipwreck known as Bád Eddie (Eddie's boat) located on Magheraclogher Beach in Bunbeg, County Donegal, Ireland. It is the remains of a French fishing boat originally named Cara Na Mara (Friend of the Sea) that ran aground during a storm in the 1970s. The wreck is a well-known landmark in Donegal and featured in the music video for Clannad and U2's collaboration "In a Lifetime". The wooden hull has weathered significantly over the decades due to the Atlantic elements and is gradually deteriorating.
