Billboards expressing support for Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and calling out “liberal hypocrisy” sprung up in several swing states Wednesday as federal law enforcement officers continue to face protests and harassment from anti-ICE activists.
“ICE officers are: fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins, friends,” reads one of the billboards put up by conservative nonprofit Citizens for Sanity in high-traffic commuter routes in Georgia, North Carolina and Michigan. “Let them do their jobs,” reads another placard, which includes illustrations of ICE agents in tactical gear.
Another billboard reminds the public that “interfering with federal law enforcement operations is a crime. You could go to jail,” the sign warns. One of the adverts quotes remarks from former President Barack Obama’s days as senator, where he argued, “Americans are right to demand better border security and better enforcement of the immigration laws. Hey liberals, what’s changed?” the sign asks passersby.

To the best of my knowledge there is no pro-ICE movement. A movement is a community-driven, bottom-up initiative where ordinary people organize for or against a cause.
ReplyDeleteWhat you are seeing here is a Trump related PAC pretending to be regular Americans.
Every time I see a sign like this I immediately google who is behind them. Once you understand who is behind the add you will understand their true motivation.
OpenSecrets reported that Citizens for Sanity ’s board – Gene Hamilton, Ian Prior, and John Zadrozny – have all previously worked in the Trump administration and have ties to America First Legal Foundation, a nonprofit founded by Stephen Miller.
Not exactly an independent movement and more like government pretending to be something they are not
“Hey liberals, whats changed?” Whats changed is that Trumps doing it. Too many libs I know didnt have fuck all to say when Obama was deporting millions and drone striking weddings. Its only bad because trumps doing it. I’m sure some have it in their head that Obama deported and blew up folks in a kinder gentler manner. The remainder are orgasmic in their hate. I wonder if they’d be more or less dangerous if they werent so blindly stupid.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I dislike Obama I don't remember him deploying the military, invading cities and federal agents killing Americans on the street because he wanted to deport illegals
DeleteThe pushback that Trump is getting has a lot more to do with the methods than with the number of deportations.
Like it or not Obama was a lot smarter when it came to getting things done around immigration. Obama quietly deported 3 million. By the time activists realized Obama's term was almost over.
Trump boasts, brags and announces every move he is planning to make. He is on the front pages but also every activist in the planet knows what he plans to do. On top of that Noem and Bovino are the proverbial bull in the china-shop. They have fucked up every day they have been on the job. If you want to see libs cry send Bovino. If you want to deport illegals send Holman (he did the job for Obama before).
Crying libs is satisfactory. Illegals deported is efficient.
9 times out of 10 Trump will choose satisfaction over efficiency hance the results we see.
