Pastor Todd Hall, the FloridaMan preacher widely known as “The Praiseologist,” is at the center of a massive backlash after a 23-second clip (find it here) captured him urging congregants to donate $10,000 within 90 seconds. He urged them to do this to unlock what he described as a divine promise of becoming a “multi-multi-millionaire.” The moment shot to nearly four million views overnight as stunned viewers debated the ethics, theology, and timing of Hall’s message - especially in the middle of a week when comedian Druski’s viral megachurch parody was already dominating the timeline.
The clip, filmed at Sanctuary of Praise Church in Florida on January 16, shows Hall standing under stage lights in front of a massive digital screen displaying a QR code labeled Sow Your Seed.
As he speaks, a performer suspended by wires appears behind him. Thus, symbolically ascending - an image that amplified the clip’s already theatrical tone. Hall delivers the message with unapologetic excitement. Therefore, declaring that God “wants to make a multi-multi-millionaire out of someone.”
However, that is only if that person sows a $10,000 seed immediately. “Write the check,” he urges. “If you do this, God says I’m going to make you a multi-multi-millionaire. I wish it was me.”

they're for someone extra special.
And valentine's Day is coming up...
...

Someone will become a multimillionaire. Going to be the guy getting the $10K,not those giving it.
ReplyDeleteWe went to see one of those big time televangelists back in the 80's , he really put on quite a show . Too bad he got picked up in a flea bag new Orleans whorehouse a couple of months later , that just diminished the whole experience .
ReplyDeleteEvery house of worship on the planet should be called “The Church of the Assumption”. This whole organized religion thing is like picking a team to root for.
