You see these kinda things all the time, and ya know they're horseshit, but this one really takes the cake - so to speak. Okay - I'm originally from New Jersey, so let me at that one first. There is no fuckin' way Jersey Mike's are NJ's 'favorite. Fuck, you can go to a corner deli and get a sub that's 20 times better than anything you find t those poser franchises. By far, it has to Be White Castle in Jersey. I'd stand up for that claim.
Now, Florida - Pollo Tropical? GTFOH. There's one a few blocks from my house, and if there's one person in there at any given time, they're barely paying their light bill. I've maybe seen one other.
No one I know - and I know a lot of people here - has ever mentioned the place in any conversation anywhere, ever. So, unless there's 8,000 of 'em in Miami Dade, that ain't happenin' The real powerhouse fast food joint here is, sadly, McDonalds.
How are they wrong about where you live? Chime in...

The favorite fast food of every New England state is Dunkin donuts.
ReplyDeleteLongview Texas, an outfit named Juicy s makes Real beef burgers. They make the patties in house. Free cups of beans with bacon, onion and jalapenos while you wait. They are in a few towns around. Nothing compares. Eight bucks for the adult burger, five for the kids. I drink water, rarely bother with the fries I will throw out. The burger is usually more than I can eat. After the beans. Sonic stays pretty hopping.
ReplyDeleteCentral Alabama- in my little town there is only one fast food place: Jack's. It's my only choice so that makes it my favorite. Happy to have them here.
ReplyDeleteSeems more like someone was looking for regional brands versus most profitable or most popular.
ReplyDeleteThat said, NC Bojangles is pretty good. Grossly over priced since Covid, but the food is good.
I have lived in NY my entire life 62 years and have never even seen a shake shack let alone had any of the food from them.
ReplyDeleteAgree on New Jersey and Florida. Jersey Mikes is fine in Florida and does give me a taste of home (Florida can't make decent bread) but back in Jersey must be 4 million sub shops and Italian pizza joints that make better. And PolloTropical I never heard of on west coast Florida although probably around here somewhere. Judging by lines at ChikFilets here would say they would be the most popular. In Jersey no clue anymore but White Castle rat burgers may still be on top. Think who ever made up the list got payed off.
ReplyDeleteSonic is probably correct for oklahoma, small towns all have one and they are more common then mcdonalds in the city
ReplyDeletein Mississippi i would have to say Popeye's.
