There was a run on bread, eggs, milk - and weed. “I had to get over here before I got locked in,” said Jared Schroder, a customer at the Stoop NYC cannabis shop on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan’s Flatiron District, to the Post in a phone interview from the dispensary. Schoder said he stocked up on $400 worth of marijuana flower, pre-rolled joints and extracts, or concentrates.“If we get snowed in, I got everything I need,” he said.
Stoops NYC co-founder and operational lead Chris Kulian said their sales surged by $8,000 over the same week last year.

well, I remember putting snow and mud chains on my truck to go find more beer when we started to run low.
ReplyDeleteI think it was back in the late 1990's , we got like 3 feet of that crap. bad part was going to 4 different beer stores before finding one open. so, we got another 4 cases or so and went back home. kind of funny in a way as we had to help a couple of cop cars out of the snow banks they got stuck in. now a days I wish I never sold that old 89 4runner. it was a damn good truck. never once got stuck in anything. but after hitting 70, I not doing a lot of the dumb stuff I used too these days. BTW, last time I tried smoked pot, all I got was a massive headache from it. early 1990's I think it was.
I don’t smoke pot anymore. I think my last time was twenty or thirty years ago when someone randomly handed me a joint at a neighborhood cook out. Legalization has, however, made cannabis gummies available and once or twice a month I pop one just before bed. I sleep like a log and wake refreshed. At my age (76) aches and pains interrupt my sleep so a bit of help once in awhile is vey welcome.
