Is it a bird? A plane? A guy? Who knows - they don't...

Axios recently asked the Democrats most likely to run for president in 2028 one of the simplest questions in existence: “Can a man become a woman?” All but 1 of the nearly 20 potential candidates - including Gavin Newsom, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Pete Buttigieg, and J.B. Pritzker - failed to respond or declined to give a direct answer. Rahm Emanuel was the sole outlier. His response was “no.”
In other words, Emanuel was the only prospective Democratic candidate for president who was willing to express views that are widely shared by the voting public. According to polling conducted last year, more than two-thirds of Americans said that gender is determined at birth. Support for banning transgender athletes in women’s sports is even higher.
Just as notable as the silence from prospective Democratic presidential candidates was the outrage directed at Axios for daring to ask these questions. ‘You and Axios are a national embarrassment,’ wrote Michael Salfino, a fantasy football reporter for the Athletic in response to an X post from Axios CEO Jim VandeHei. “This is Axios shitting on Dems and platforming a GOP issue, but calling it journalism because they are ‘vetting candidates,’” wrote former Obama tech guru James Villarrubia. “Axios is such shit these days.”
Wow. Such a high-minded response...

Every house on my block has a flag in front of it - do your neighbors display our flag? Lasy summer, when I was in Ireland, I got in to a short conversation with an older gent in a pub in Glenties.
His comment was that he thought we (Americans) are obsessed with 'nationalistic symbolism' with our flags. Meanwhile, outside the pub, up and down the full stretch of Main Street in this tiny little town, Irish flags were mounted on ever single light post and telephone/power pole. This is where I was:

Lawns are such a waste of time, effort, energy and water, but the other side of the coin is that the majority of people - down here at least - have lawn service people to come and care for the lawn once or twice a month, so the don't have to tend to it themselves. Myself, if I could have a front- and backyard garden I would in a heart beat, but I'm getting to be too lazy to tend a full-blown garden anymore. So, installing Astroturf may be a viable solution for some people, but I don't see it ever being allowed here. Maybe I'm wrong - we'll see...

This is a replica of a 1934 United States $100,000 Gold Certificate, which was the highest denomination banknote ever produced by the U.S. government but was only used for transactions between Federal Reserve Banks and never circulated publicly.

Isn't it a curious thing that Republicans/ Conservatives don't 'protest'? Certainly there's enough to protest about...

Liberals will protests at the drop of a hat. Shit - they'd probably protest the fact that the hat got dropped.
Why do you suppose that is?

Ya gotta be a little skitso to live here, ya know? This two-week span middle-to-end of January is always the worst here. It's been below freezing overnight for the last three nights and every decorative plant in our front garden is toast. I can't tell ya how much I appreciate not being up in New Jersey at this time of year anymore. Living here for ten years and ten more years living in the Caribbean, my blood is much too thin for this kinda shit. By this Sunday it'll be back up to the 80's during the day.

The artwork is really good but this guy is one of those lib cartoonists who will never -
ever - have a single good thing to say about any conservative.
