What do we learn as get (much) older?

Getgting old (ei: my age) isn't easy. If it was, everybody'd be doing it, right? Well, one of the things we do better than those young whippersnappers is figure out what's important - and more significally - what isn't important at all. The people at vegout.com puts a list of ten things we understand better now at these oh-so advanced times in our life. Here it is:

1. “You don’t feel old on the inside.”
2. “Friendships matter more than almost anything… but they get harder to maintain.”
3. “You stop caring what people think - and it feels like freedom.”
4. “Your parents’ mistakes suddenly make sense.”
5. “You become invisible - and it’s both peaceful and painful.”
6. “You realise how fast life really is.”
7. “You appreciate your health in a way you never could when you were young.”
8. “Peace becomes more important than success.”
9. “You still have big dreams - but less need to prove anything.”
10. “Life gets sweeter - but also more emotional.”
