Senators reached a time agreement Monday evening to bypass Senate procedures that would have prolonged the passage of the bill by as long as several days. Despite the tough talk from many Senate Democrats condemning their colleagues’ Sunday night cave to end the shutdown, not one objected to the unanimous consent agreement to speed the end of the shutdown. The agreement does not guarantee an extension of Covid-era enhanced Obamacare premium subsidies, with Democrats only receiving assurances of a vote on a bill of their choice.
House Democrat Leadership formally announced it would 'whip' its members to oppose the bill, claiming that they are hoping to keep the Government closed until a considerably higher number of people die from lack of food stamps or some other bullshit. Fuckin' scumbags

A Florida 15-year-old was caught 'brazenly' slamming a metal shovel onto the hood of a police cruiser with an officer inside, leading to her being charged with a felony. Amy Chance was arrested in a suburban neighborhood of Port St. Lucie after an officer arrived to investigate a disturbance at her family home caused by the teen. Body cam footage released by the Port St. Lucie Police Department shows the shovel-wielding kid in the middle of the street, approaching the officer as he was sitting in his patrol car.
She is then seen striking the vehicle multiple times, without appearing to have had any prior interaction with the cop. “Are you kidding me?” the officer is heard saying aloud before exiting his car, pulling out his taser, and ordering the 15-year-old to drop the shovel. With the taser pointing directly at her, the teen is seen mean-mugging the cop before dropping the shovel. Chance then flips off the cop and begins to walk away before the officer closes in on the teen and orders her to stop.
I'm no child psychology expert or nuthin, but I think A: This kid's has some parental quality issues, and B: She needs a serious ass-kickin', even though it probably wouldn't do any good. Even money this little asshole doesn't make it to 25. Juss' sayin'...

Another life-long dooshbag politician who's never held another job in his life, Schumer's been in politics for no less than 50 years. After getting his 'Iveeleeg' Law Degree, he immediately entered politics rather than work for a living, and was a three-term member of the New York State Assembly from 1975 to 1980.
Reaching for higher rungs on the ladder, he ran for Congress in 1980 and won a seat. He served nine terms in the United States House of Reps from 1981 to 1999, first representing New York's 16th congressional district before being redistricted to the 10th congressional district in 1983 and 9th congressional district 10 years later.
In 1998, Schumer was elected to the Senate, defeating three-term Republican incumbent Al D'Amato, and the motherfucker's been there ever since. Jeez, somebody put this pompous, pandering Hovvid Grad out to pasture, wouldjuz?

A report is indicating that thirteen of the largest Italian pasta exporters are slated to face a nearly 107% total tariff at the start of next year – a combination of a 15% tariff on EU goods and a 92% antidumping tax.
Along with Pasta Garofalo, La Molisana and Rummo, the impacted pasta brands include Agritalia, Aldino, Antiche Tradizioni Di Gragnano, Barilla, Gruppo Milo, Pastificio Artigiano Cav. Giuseppe Cocco, Pastificio Chiavenna, Pastificio Liguori, Pastificio Sgambaro and Pastificio Tamma. Barilla makes pasta for the US market within the States and so is less likely to be impacted by the tariffs than the other businesses.
This is the one that'll hurt me the most - De Cecco pasta is made in Fara San Martino, Abruzzo, Italy, where the company was founded in 1886 and still has its production facilities. The company uses both Italian-grown wheat and durum wheat from other locations like California and Arizona to produce its pasta. It, too, will be subject to the tarrifs.
Ronzoni pasta is made in the United States, so it's a good fallback if DeCecco prices get too crazy. What spaghetti did you guys grow up eating?

Here's The Chuckster - along with his asshole buddy from Newark Borey Cooker - trying to explain why we need free (borrowed, mind you) money from the government to help us pay for the healthcare that his good buddy Barrack told us would be so much cheaper if they passed the ObamaCare bill. Reality is, the average person's paying three times as much, but - like Nancy said - 'You have to vote for the bill to see what's in it'. God, we need help to escape from these dickheads...

Rory Lobb’s - an Australian Football player - new wife, Lexi, laughed off a hilarious tumble as she danced the night away during her and her husband’s wedding celebrations in the Maldives this week.
The Western Bulldogs star is one of many AFL players to have tied the knot during the off-season, with he and Lexi, a social media influencer (whatever the fuck that is), tying the knot in an 'intimate' ceremony with friends and family members. People who plan 'destination' weddings should be shot. Juss' sayin'...

ReplyDeleteFor me, the most despicable thing about Schumer is that he never saw a gun control law that the didn't like, all the while sporting that NYC carry license.
ReplyDelete"Gunz for me but not for thee."
well. that asshole needs a weapon because most people would love the chance to punch his smug face in.
Deletechances are he got a fat bank account or three off shore with all the grift he had gotten over his years in DC.
I saw the charts that showed the massive increase in medical insurance companies profits after Obamacare. Man they made a lot of money off Obamacare! From what I'm seeing now it was taxpayer supplied money & there was a lot of it...
ReplyDeleteGood pasta is still dirt cheap with 100% tariff. I mean, how much can we eat anyways?? I routinely pay $5 for a domestic tap beer so I will weather this.
ReplyDeletemre that is the tortellini stuff
ReplyDeleteLa Rosa spaghetti every Thursday for supper. And we always looked forward to Thursdays.
ReplyDeleteLa Rosa, founded by Vincenzo La Rosa in 1914, was a popular brand in the northeast in the 1900's.
The company got bought out by Borden and the American Italian Pasta Company then just disappeared.
