Lets start a pool. What are they gonna start protesting next?

Okay, so they're gonna release all the files, and that'll shut these sign-carrying morons up, right? Don't bet the ranch dressing on that one, Skippy.
There's always something these bitchaholics can come up with. Take a look at the people in that photo. Numbers 2 and 3 in that congo line are wearing masks. Do you personally know anyone who's still wearing one five years after covid? Well, there's this one guy lives a few blocks from me that wears one whenever he's outside his house, but he's one of those guys - when he comes out, everybody else goes in and locks the doors, if ya get my drift...

It's a sad reality that kids today have to use their cell phones for the simplest math issues. People my age - us decrepit old baby-boomers - actually managed to learn shit when we went to school, and the stuff we managed to retain is what makes us unique in a way. We can do division in our heads, calculate a tip at any percentage level, and actually count to twelve without having to take a shoe off....

One of the most underrated skills many - not all but most of us -  boomers have is being okay with boredom. We don't need constant input...

We grew up without screens, without endless entertainment, and without doomscrolling. We waited in lines, sat through commercials, stared out of windows, and dealt with long silences. The ability to be present without fidgeting or refreshing is a life tool that feels rare today.

That painting - two blocks of colors with a colored background, sold yesterday at an auction at Christie's in NYC for $ 62,000,000.00. You read that right. Someone paid 62 mil + the gallery fee to buy that painting. Rothko must be spinning in his grave...

The doorknob sets at my brother'd house in Belfast. He was
an adherent of Mies van der Rohe - 'God is in the details'...

So I come home yesterday from playing in a poker tournament (no - I didn't place) and I walk in to the house, look across the dining room, and I see this. Ya ever wonder what goes on in animal's head that makes them think 'What can I do today to piss him off or make him crazy'?

jump on these deals when I find 'em, okay?

The lawsuit, brought by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), was a major threat to the company's structure and revenue streams. Is that the FTC's job? To bust businesses/people's balls on a whim that some jerkoff deskjockey somewhere in it's bowels dream up? Hey - I'm no fan of Zuckerhead by any means, but I do think this is kinda horseshit. Juss' sayin'...

Have you ever tried one of these?

When you fill this thing and turn it on, it gets the water to boil in about a minute.
Use that water for your coffee or tea or whatever you need boiling water for.
Juss' sayin' - I like it. Click on the picture and get one for yourself.
This one is less than $ 24.00, but the one Barb bought last year cost over $ 40.00,
and they both do the same exact thing.

  1. What was the quid pro quo for that $62 million?

  2. **Lets start a pool. What are they gonna start protesting next?** Next? We have to wait for Trump to come out and say something is good before we can find out what they are being paid to protest against.

    1. The Left is going to always protest removal of illegals and that is being paid for. Also being paid for is protesting any Republican running or any Republican issue.

  3. It has to be tough to find ways to protect pedophiles now that Trump has flip flopped AGAIN

  5. In re that "kids and math" rant....

Twenty-five years or so ago I was teaching a project management class to a room full of systems analysts when we came to a step that required using an average of 3 earlier answers. After a longish pause due to nobody knowing how to arrive at an average, somebody said "They didn't tell us we'd need to bring a calculator."

  6. Trump loves the towel guys. That guy sitting there had a guy kidnapped, murdered in their embassy, hacked into pieces and disposed of. Trump has no issue with it, preferring instead to blame the dead guy for being controversial.

Tidy up or pay the fiddler...

This house is about four blocks from my house, and, yes, it is a shithole. A Villager has been given one week to remove debris from his prop...
