It's hard to believe people are so - is it greedy?

It really do getcha to thinking about why anyone would back a guy like this Moomdonny guy, but then again...

Hey - think about it. Theye've voted for Biden, for AOC, Big Bernie, Pocahontas, Ohmar and god know countless other absolute train wrecks, so why would they stop now? They honest to goodness (if goodness ever had anything to do with their thought process) have no idea the damage they do to themselves and to others. I doubt that would ever even come in to play, because the only reason you vote for any of the ones I mentioned - and people like them, is because they promise you something that someone else will be picking the bill up for.. It's all about greed in the end, isn't it...

I was 12 going on 13 at that time. Sucked that I couldn't watch 12:00 O'Clock High but we all had to watch Man from Uncle. Pretty amazing to look back at that time and realize the power that the Big Three wielded on all of us. Granted we did have a few marginal local stations like WOR, WPIX and WNEW, but it was the Big Three that shaped most, if not all, of our buying decisions those days. Interesting perspective, no?

Remember back in the day when all of the fast food joints had ashtrays on the tables? I think we were a bit more civilized - and civil to each other - back in those days. The one thing I never did get, though, were the smoking aisles in airplanes. You know what I mean - you're aisle 23, and the smoking section starts at aisle 24?

Most government shutdowns happen over hot button issues where the Democratic and Republican parties strongly disagree—abortion in the 1970s, Medicaid and Medicare in the ‘90s; and Obamacare, DACA and a “border wall” in the 21s century. Similarly, the record eight shutdowns that happened during Ronald Reagan’s presidency highlighted some of the biggest political battles of the 1980s, from funding for people on welfare to the Iran-Contra affair.

This is the moment an ancient Roman tower near the Colosseum collapses, trapping a man beneath the rubble. Video footage shot by a tourist shows the Torre dei Conti Tower in Rome crumbling to the ground, leaving one worker dead.
The tower, which was undergoing restoration work, collapsed in two stages over an hour apart. Emergency services were first called to reports at around 11:30 this morning, trapping and injuring several workers.
Then, as emergency responders worked, the tower caved in some more at around 12:45pm – though nobody was further injured. A Romanian man in his 60s who was trapped beneath the rubble for up to 12 hours died in hospital after being pulled from the debris.

Jack Ciatterelli, The Republican candidate running for Governor in New Jersey, was on the stump at a campaign stop yesterday afternoon, when he had a surprise visitor - His son, Jake, who's an Army Captain now stationed in Kuwait. It's nice to see shit like this, isn't it?

The Independent, another UK uber-leftie news media outlet has to have solid steel balls - or they're just totally fucked mentally. Can you imagine having the stones to come out and publicly state that the hurricane that just fuckin' demolished Jamaica was caused by 'climate change'? Yeah - you can believe it, can'tcha...

  2. hell, I still remember using real silverware or silver plate on the old Swiss air flights. stole a set back in the early 1970's and kept for the longest time. tried to find some set to match them as they where about the best dinner ware I ever used.
also had a few of the old glass ashtrays from back then. think I have one left that hasn't been dropped and broken.
but then again that was back when everything wasn't thought to be like a damn Bic lighter. use once and toss it.

  6. If I was prez of a country I’d make smoking tobacco compulsory … a calm populace paying a shit load of sales taxes and dropping off the perch before they become a welfare problem. Just saying …

  7. Built a couple thousand years ago, “modern and more intelligent” man messes with it, it falls down. That tracks with the world today.

  8. When people stopped drinking coffee as a stimulant, smoking, and the crazies stopped being able to dose themselves with lithium in their 7-Up sodas and self medicate, the downfall started. Today’s cure with 120 grams of sugar is a depressant.
