I looked at Sting tickets in Tampa and the cheapest seat was $1500 at the time, F that. I went to the Italian bar a few years back, cold rainy day but a pretty cool little town and the bar was well a bar Godfather or not.

ReplyDeleteI saw Gordon Sumner open for the Grateful Dead three days in a row back in May of '94 (I was 23) at the Silver Bowl in Las Vegas for $25 day. Because he was playing to the same crowd for three days he played the entire Police catalog, he only repeated whatever solo radio hit that was current at the time. $300 for him without Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland, not to mention no Jerry Garcia? No way. Sorry Gordon, hard pass.
