I can't even begin to imagine how the seed for this story idea came about, but if this isn't reaching for straws just to fill a page, nothing is.
The one difference? North Caldwell is in Essex County, NJ, which is most definitely deep, deep blue, so I'm thinking that may have been a reason. Go figure...
Been trying to learn the US state flags and my memory jog for Jersey is “Godfather state” …. not that it’s so much populated by Italian-derived crime families but for the sawn-off horse’s head at the top.
