More people live in suburban areas that live in the big cities,
but there's a twist that's fairly apparent...
Approximately 80% of Americans live in “urban areas.” That is, if you include any city of 2,500 people or more - would you consider Mayberry RFD an 'urban area'? But the reality is, those small cities don't change the vote the way larger cities do. A “large city” has 250,000 people or more - and most of these are dominated by Democrats. Quoting from the census, only 39% live in cities over 50,000.
While 39% of the country’s population lived in cities of 50,000 or more, the United States remained a nation of mostly smaller communities. Of approximately 19,500 incorporated places, about 75% had fewer than 5,000 people in 2023 and nearly 33% had fewer than 500.
Generally, the less urbanized areas have more conservatives (most of whom are Republicans), and the more urbanized areas are dominated by liberals (most of whom are Democrats).
Looking at the data, barely 6% of big cities lean conservative with the remainder heavily slanted to the liberal side of the equation. That's why big cities dominate in elections.

US district judge John J McConnell Jr criticized the administration’s plan to partly fund Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (Snap) benefits in November, saying it had failed to comply with an order he issued on Saturday requiring the government to ensure Americans received full or partial benefits no later than Wednesday.
He also said the administration plowed ahead with a plan to partly cover benefits without addressing – as required– the fact that in many states, it could take weeks or months to implement the reduced benefits. “The evidence shows that people will go hungry, food pantries will be overburdened, and needless suffering will occur,” McConnell said. “That’s what irreparable harm here means.” The judge added: “This should never happen in America.”
Here's a (supposedly) intelligent man who has no fuckin' idea how anything works. The President can't do shit without Congress, chucklehead. Juss' sayin'...

I know exactly where this plot of land is. It's on the road between Doochary/Classy and the town of Glenties in County Donegal, Ireland, not too far from my brother's country cottage. He digs up the turf, bags it and leaves it out to dry for around six months. Peat is a fibrous brown material made from decayed vegetation, like sphagnum moss.
Cutting peat is a traditional practice for harvesting fuel.
The work is often done in wet and muddy conditions. When it's dry enough, they can sell each bag for about 6 Euro for use in fireplaces. Yes - the shit burns when it's dried. Crazy, right?

Remember this queer-bait jerkoff who threw his Subway sub at the cop and then ran away? Well, the guy was obviously charged with simple assault - a Subway sandwhich'll kill ya for sure, but not like that.
Sean Dunn faced a single misdemeanor after federal grand jurors refused to indict him on the felony charge sought by prosecutors, despite evidence to the contrary. The fuckin' guy was let off the hook. Can you imagine what kind of moonunits made up that jury? Jeez...

Can't wait until the dumb fuck get his first pay stub and finds out NYC is already a "socialist paradise". Hat tip to P.J. O'Rorek.

I want to know how does a federal judge have federal spending authority, with or without the shutdown? By what line in the constitution?
ReplyDeleteIf judge McConnell thinks he's a king and can tell anyone what to do, maybe he should tell the communist senators to vote for the continuing resolution.
