Another one of mt father's favorite sayings had to do with exercises in futility - like what we see in the Main Straem Media when there's nothing of substance to bitch about. He'd say that thier efforts at getting the public riled up about something that almost no one actually gives a fuck about was:'It's like pissin' in the ocean and hoping the fish'll feel it'. That, my friends, is an exercise in futility, textbook definition.
