This video captured the moment an unhinged protestor/driver rammed into an Immigration and Customs Enforcement vehicle in Chicago amid a spate of attacks on federal agents. The scene unfolded when the black SUV was caught on camera suddenly plowing into the back of the ICE truck in the middle of heavy traffic on Saturday.
The driver then chased the ICE vehicle before repeatedly slamming into its bumper in front of shocked bystanders. Scores of federal agents could be seen drawing their guns in a bid to prevent the driver from fleeing.
According to a criminal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court of Chicago, 30-year-old Marimar Martinez and 21-year-old Anthony Ian Santos Ruiz were both charged with using their vehicles to assault, impede and interfere with the work of federal agents in Chicago. These are Federal crimes. No bail, no bullshit. Hard time.That's the FAFO effect.

ReplyDeleteAssault with a deadly weapon. This warrants lethal response. If the offender survives, prosecute - but the right response is to literally riddle the attackers and their vehicles. A few fatalities will end these attempts.
ReplyDeleteThat was my initial thought ... and probably why I'm not in charge. While I 100% agree that vehicular violence warrants such a response, in this case, that would have escalated things quickly. An obvious measured response, with people on the sidelines saying that ICE showed incredible restraint is much better for the propaganda wars than a few dead illegal aliens.

ReplyDeleteOn the Chicago incident, police audio of an order for Chicago cops to get out of the area and to not answer any calls from the feds went out over the radio. Time to buy more pop-corn.
The two nimrods were lucky to survive to be arrested...
