An 'unhinged' guy who charged a cop with a shovel outside an Anaheim, California, elementary school was gunned down after he continued to swing at the officer despite warning shots, new bodycam video shows.
An officer responded to a 911 call reporting a suspicious man, possibly on drugs, who was wielding a brick and a shovel about 12:45 p.m. on Sept. 15. When 36-year-old Rudy Anthony Martinez II saw the cop car across an intersection, he sprinted toward the officer, brandishing his shovel. The officer tries to tell Martinez to stand down, shouting “sit down” and “you’re gonna get shot”, while Martinez continues to slash through the air, walking toward him.
It having happened in cop-hating Cali, the officer willo probably be charged with having used excessive force.

DeleteAnaheim is in Orange county... which is MUCH more conservative than LA county or the gay bay.

ReplyDeleteWorked with a guy who used to be a cop in California. Responded to a home robbery call. Crook fresh out of prison, who had lifted a lot of weights while in. Charges cop, cop shoots him twice, and crook falls - but the guy's muscle mass helped absorb the impact. He starts getting back up so the cop kicked him back down, then cuffed him. Karen neighbor filed charges for police brutality for kicking a guy he had already shot twice. Cop decides working in another state would be a career improvement.
