So - if ya don't work for the Government, and the Government isn't working on you, do you actually notice anything different when it's shut down? I guess the only way to find out is to go down to the VA and see if anyone is there. Otherwise...

Tourist blames Google’s terrible navigation after slipping into a canal - here’s why you shouldn’t use its map in Venice
A Polish tourist fell into a canal in Venice, Italy, after the ubiquitous navigation app allegedly led her astray, per an Instagram video going viral. “When Google Maps says ‘go straight’ but you’re in Venice,” Wiktoria Guzenda captioned the clip of her epic “water fall.” The accompanying clip shows the traveler walking down the stairs in the City of Canals while on her phone, when all of a sudden, she slips and falls in the water like a slapstick comedy movie.

For the first four months or so of his second term in office, it seemed like every single thing he tried to do got shut down almost immediately by some jerkoff Clinton-, Obama-, or Biden-appointed judge somewhere. The libs lawyers were judge-shopping to get injunctions against Trump's actions, most of which were immediately reversed on appeals. It does seem that that bullshit has died down somewhat. I wonder what their next stalling tactic will be - maybe trying to shut down the entire Government? Nah - never work.

"What do we want? Genocide! When do we want it? Now!" cried the protesters. "We must stop this ceasefire at all costs. If Israel refuses to keep up the genocide after we give the hostages back, we will have to take more hostages. Whatever it takes to get the evil genocide back going."

Jean Lafitte is considered a hero where I come from. Andrew Jackson teamed up with him and his band of pirates to defeat the British under Pakenham at New Orleans. Without the pirates, they'd have probably lost, and Pakenham's body wouldn't have been shipped back to England in a barrel.
ReplyDeleteTried navigating through the woods in Central Oregon when Google said to turn right. HUH? Cautiously followed Google's advice for about 150 feet. Unimproved road looked like a scene from Deliverance. That did it. Put the car in reverse and backed out. The wife asked what I was doing. "Gettin' the hell outta hear. I swear. I heard a banjo."
ReplyDeleteThe VA is set up with funding a year in advance to prevent being affected by shutdowns like this.
