There are a few things i do miss...

And this is on the top of list. There is no smell, no sound that compares to what the Sann Gennaro feast is all about. Friends, family and food - most of all the food. Incomparable sausage and pepper sandwiches on the best bread you've ever had. A greasy bag of sugar-covered zeppole - licking your fingers between every bite. Great, traditional Italian music, and dancing in the streets. Of Little Italy. The stuff of dreams...

...

One of the most beloved cookbooks of all time, from “the Queen of Italian
Cooking” (Chicago Tribune). A timeless collection of classic Italian recipes—
from Basil Bruschetta to the only tomato sauce you’ll ever need (the secret
ingredient: butter)—beautifully illustrated and featuring new forewords by
 Lidia Bastianich and Victor Hazan

I do miss the various events and festivals of Little Italy in Baltimore. I learned how to make Sunday Gravy from a friend's grandmother there long ago. Here in the Valley, we get a basket of roma tomatoes and make all 3 versions of Hazan's tomato sauce, vacuum pak them and freeze them for winter. Man o man, nice treat in January when it is cold and dark this far north for much of the day then.

  2. I hope you understand that the real Little Italy is around Arthur Avenue in the Bronx

  3. No need to post this, I think you meant to say, incomparable, not incoprable.
