The insanity of their argument...

You really have to wonder what the people who voted for these jackwagons think when they hear them taking stands like they have. Their Governor, Pritzker, said 'If Trump sends federal troops to Chicago, we'll 'immediately go to court'. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, another Dimocrat, rebuked President Trump’s potential deployment of the National Guard to the Windy City, telling a crowd Monday the city’s leaders will “protect” the “humanity” of its residents.
“No federal troops in the city of Chicago. No militarized force in the city of Chicago,” Johnson said during the “Workers Over Billionaires” protest. “We’re going to defend our democracy in the city of Chicago. We’re going to protect the humanity of every single person in the city of Chicago.”
What they are saying is they're both fine with the status quo. Crime, violence, murder and mayhem. They're fine with it. Holy fuck, Batman...

Every day I learn something more about freedoms and my teacher is the Governor of the free state of Florida. Yesterday, they removed all vaccine mandates from the Florida school system. Why is that a good thing? Because you have had unelected bureaucrats dictating what jabs kids should take and when (some as early as ten weeks?) when that should be a parents responsibility, and don't even come back at me about fucked up parents. They've always been here, and they always will. It's the good parents who are capable of making decisions for their own kids, and that's the way it should be.

President Trump will sign an executive order today to alter the name of the Department of Defense to the Department of War, reverting to the agency’s former namesake. It makes perfect sense, if ya think about it. If Japan attacks Pearl Harbor again, we can roll it back.

Pretty much exactly what we talked about last night...

It's important to observe that the Senators yelling at RFK today are all recorded as having received funds from Big Pharma. Individuals being influenced by Big Pharma should not be involved in any healthcare decisions for the nation. They are clearly compromised.

I know I've said this before but it's worth repeating. Every once in a while I spot a deal on Amazon like this one that must be some kinda closeout, because the price is so friggin' cheap it makes ya wonder how they make money on the sale, right?
Anyway, if you see me put a banner ad like this up, click on it and check out the product. I'll only do this for deals I think are too good to be true, and here's the most important thing - these deals usually disappear overnight. Too many times I've spotted something and mentioned it here, and I go back a day or two later and the price is up 20/30/even 40 percent. Juss' sayin'...

  1. Sorry, but the name Department of War was NOT the old name of the Department of Defense because there was no Department of Defense. The War Department was what the Army was called. The Navy Department was what the Navy was called. The Marines have always been part of the Navy, of course. There was no Air Force, either, as it was part of the Army. So the name change today will not return us to the old way it was. It is merely a semantic change to DoD and uses the same phrasing as before, but it does not apply to the institution as it did before. And by the way, for the name to permanently stick it will have to be approved by Congress, which may or may not happen. So it remains to be seen as to whether it will be permanent or not.

    1. The War Department existed for 158 years, from August 7, 1789, to September 18, 1947,[1] when, under the National Security Act of 1947, it split into the Department of the Army and the Department of the Air Force (which, together with the Department of the Navy, formed the National Military Establishment). In 1949, the National Military Establishment was renamed the Department of Defense.

    2. The original cabinet secretaries were Secretary of State (Thomas Jefferson), Secretary of Treasury (Alexander Hamilton), Secretary of War (Henry Knox), and Attorney General (Edmund Randolph).

  3. Re: the nickel restaurant, $1.60 for a twelve pack of Bass Ale, that's 1.6 oz. of silver back then. Does the math... Just now silver was at $40.87... $65.39. So, there is one thing that's better now, Bass prices $16.99 for twelve in 2025.

  4. Zoomed to 500% One guy in tan suit to the left of the lefthand cop. To the left of that gentleman, almost centered between the two signboards, and at the rear against the building, I make out a head from the eyes up, with a dark widows peak. No hat visible. This took me several minutes, and I'm not willing to search further.

  5. Not too odd the one without a hat is also the only one without an overcoat; either he has neither, or these are in his hand having just exited a building. David
