'Judge ye not', or something like that...

I am, by no stretch of your imagination, any kinda religious bible thumper. In fact, the only times I've been in any manner of church in the past 40 or so years has been for weddings and funerals. That being said, I've always been enamored of this phrase, partly because I violate it so often. Of course we judge others, and of course it bothers us sometimes when somebody takes a shot at us.
We're human, ferfucksake, right?

Did you have these where you grew up? I thought Entenmann's was a local bakery 'til I was about 18. I can't think of a time growing up when we didn't have at least one Entenmann's something in our house. I was especially fond of their Danish walnut ring.

While the president got a month-long break from the Epstein issue when lawmakers left town for the annual August recess – with the House of Representatives wrapping up a day early because of the controversy over Epstein – the calm will probably end quickly. Representatives from both parties have planned press conferences and legislative maneuvers intended to put pressure on the Trump administration for more transparency over Epstein, whose suicide while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges in 2019 has been the subject of conspiracy theories the president amplified while on the campaign trail. They'll never give up on this until some dirt on Clinton comes out, and then it'll fade dramatically. There's no doubt in my mind that Ole' Bill was canoodling on Epstein's island. I saw him on St.John twice, so he can't deny being there...

NJ Gov. Phil Murphy’s administration is keeping a close watch on liquor licenses tied to Donald Trump’s  golf clubs in New Jersey, allowing the properties to serve alcohol under strict temporary conditions while the state continues its review.
The New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) issued a last-minute extension on June 30 for Trump National  Golf Clubs in Bedminster and Colts Neck, permitting them to sell alcohol for six more months. The clubs’ licenses have been under review since Trump was convicted last year in New York on 34 counts of falsifying business records.
Under state law, individuals convicted of crimes involving “moral turpitude” cannot hold liquor licenses. While the review is ongoing, the temporary permits require the clubs to place all alcohol profits in a separate account and bar Trump or other members of the license-holding LLCs from receiving any financial benefit from those sales.

The website for the golf course is pretty impressive. Take a look.

  1. The meme about Jesus has one major flaw. God did not create humans with original sin. He created us with free will, the ability to make choices for ourselves. It was man's choice to break the one rule given to him that created sin.

    1. It's not illegal to fly the Union Jack. But it is illegal to fly it if anyone protests and the flag flyer doesn't remove it. So technically it isn't, but it actually is.

  5. That thing about the Trump golf course? Trump's not involved except by name. The Trump organization owns it. Trump gets dividends from the organization. Simple as that. So reviewing the liquor license is just pure bullshit.

Tidy up or pay the fiddler...

This house is about four blocks from my house, and, yes, it is a shithole. A Villager has been given one week to remove debris from his prop...
