Yeah - tell me you haven't done this yourself - you see one of those goofy ass fuckin' 'cyber trucks' and you look to see who the driver is, because it's gotta be some kinda goofy lookin' moron. They really are friggin' stupid looking, and the bigger ones sell for somewhere near 100g's. so the guy's gotta be a little stunod, right? Anyway, Just five months after it went on sale, Tesla has scrapped its cheapest Cybertruck.
The futuristic stainless steel pick-up truck was available in three options – with the most affordable starting from $69,990. But Elon Musk's company has quietly removed this lower-priced model from its website, reportedly due to a lack of interest from buyers.

These are seriously comfortable pants.
And you can wear them year 'round...
At under 25 bucks each, a good deal, too.

So people are not buying base model cybertrucks, they're still buying cybertrucks though, the more expensive ones.
ReplyDeleteEven people as smart as Elon will build an Edsel every now and then.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget though that if democrats would have been in the white house during the Edsel days they would have told EVERYBODY to buy one, just like they told everybody to buy a Tesla during the Mad Man Joe days.
A General Contractor friend of mine bought one of those trucks. It pulls a two axle dump trailer fairly well. I never asked what he paid but, after seeing this I know now. I'm really surprised that after paying that much, the inside of that thing looks like a typical work truck. Trash everywhere.
ReplyDeleteStunod spelled backwards is donuts which can be taken to mean the same thing and it was how I read it until I saw your explanation. Ha!
ReplyDeleteWhen the cyber truck was first announced, I thought it was bigger. I was interested in getting one ... since they're supposed to be bullet proof. With all the left whack jobs shutting down freeways at the time, being able to 4x4 through the area with a bullet proof vehicle seemed like a good idea.
ReplyDeleteThe first time my wife saw a cybertruck she burst out laughing.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I'm concerned, they could dump the whole electric vehicle bit. If someone wants one, more power to em but think of the cost of replacing the battery [which ain't a gonna happen] and forgoing that, replacing the vehicle.
