ReplyDeleteIn Texas open carry of long guns has always been legal (AFAIK). It is/was the handgun laws that have changed. That being said, can't really remember anyone carrying long guns out and about except for the ones hanging in the back windows of pickups.

Open carry is silly especially in crowds. There has been a couple of firearms taken from people at Mardi gras parades in Mobile. One guy grabs the gun & his partner knocks the guy down.
