According to one report today, There were 8,837 sales of Tesla cars last month across the EU, the European Free Trade Association and the UK, according to figures from the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA). That compared with 14,769 at the same point last year.
New car registrations for BYD across Europe rose to 13,503 last month, compared with 4,151 a year earlier. BYD now has 1.2% market share, the ACEA found. Tesla’s share remains at 0.8%.
Chinese car brands, which often have relatively cheaper models, have been expanding aggressively in Europe. BYD outsold Tesla in Europe for the first time this spring, according to a report from the market research company JATO Dynamics.

Why am I not surprised that a people who can celebrate the destruction by "allies" of the natural gas pipelines that keep them supplied with cheap energy are willing to buy crappy Chinesium EVs. Second cousins to the Yugo.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it will ever be publicly acknowledged that Biden had it blown up.
DeleteSince I am not concerned with today's electric car market, I had no idea what BYD was. I looked it up. It is a friggin' Chinese Communist electric car maker. UGH!!!
ReplyDeleteI may be wrong, but I read on the "internet" that red china only has 200,000 registered members of the CCP. If that's true, that is less than the number of students they've sent here.
