If you're single and looking, I guess it depends on where you're looking, or, actually, if you can see past the bodyguards.
The richest women in the world have more in common than luxury lifestyles — they’re holding stakes in the global economy. The world’s wealthiest women didn’t just sit on fortunes. They inherited empires, scaled them, pivoted to new markets and, in some cases, rewrote the rulebook in industries dominated by men. Some of them run businesses behind the scenes while others practice philanthropy in the arts, sciences and tech.
Most of these women hold significant stakes in private or publicly traded companies. Their wealth is tied to various sectors and industries, from consumer goods to chemicals to casinos.
All the women on this list either inherited their wealth or got crazy rich marrying the 'wrong guy' and cashing out, though each is now a billionaire in her own right. To be honest, there isn't really one of them on that list that's actually 'do-able' by my standards, but hey - that's why God invented whiskey, right?

Still not enough money to put up with their Shi....
ReplyDeleteYou can marry more money in 5 minutes than you can make in a lifetime. Pre-nup would state I’ll do 12 months, then I get 7 positive figures left of the decimal point, non-negotiable, non-revocable.
ReplyDeleteIris Fontbona? Holy hell what a name.
ReplyDeleteOne would have thought that her highness, Nancy Pelosi, would have made the list.
ReplyDeleteMy mother's cousins decided he was going to marry rich. He came from a working class family. He went over to the rich high school and watched them from afar. Studied how they walked, how they talked, what they wore. Saved his money from mowing lawns and whatnot. Eventually bought himself an ensemble that would fit it, went over and started hanging out with the rich kids. He married a woman whose daddy was a VP of eithe4 GM or GE.
ReplyDeleteThe more telling comment is that NONE OF THEM gained their wealth by their own actions. Each and every one married or inherited. That is not to say that they didn't help, but they were not the prime wealth creator in any case. Great wealth requires great risk and great effort. Women are not wired to do such things.
