Cracker Barrel and Hooters both in trouble. Who's gonna save the day for both of them?

With Cracker Barrel's value dropping by $100M ($200M at one point) and Hooters closing, Waffle House is taking advantage by buying the other two. The new merger will result in "Crack House" and feature the colors of Hooters' uniforms.

Hard to believe this was 32 years ago. This is an aerial shot of the damage in Florida City in Dade County after Hurricane Andrew made landfall on August 24,  1992. Babs and I were still living on St. John at the time and flew up to Ft. Lauderdale a week or so after the storm. When our flight path took us over this area, we were shocked by what we saw. Babs said it looked like God had a mile-wide lawn mower and he pushed it straight across the state.

The sustained winds exceeded 160+ mph and were so strong, every thing that was loose or busted became a projectile. Two young girls, hiding under their bed in their house, were killed when a 2x4 flew through the outer wall and impaled them both where they hid.

I know for a fact this photo was taken in the 80's on Labor Day weekend at the Jersey Shore.
