There may be that many home health aides but I guarantee that 90% of them suck at what they do. If they are anything like the ones employed by facilities, nobody is getting the care they need or are paying for.
ReplyDeleteWe went thru 5 to get one good one. And it takes a whole months retirement check for 40 hours a month.

ReplyDeleteRe jobs: what jumps out is how much more diverse jobs are now. Heavy retail sales concentration moved to health aides, fast food, some others. The Amazon Effect. I doubt that the basic capabilities are much better; health aide and fast food don't require more smarts or drive than retail sales. What would be more interesting would be to see the top ten in each state....
