Welcoming a new neighbor?

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has declared
his desire to retire to The Villages...

The 53-year-old basketball player, who won NBA championships while playing for the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat, spoke about retirement and Florida’s Friendliest Hometown during “The Big Podcast with Shaq,” which he hosted with former boxing champion Mike Tyson.
But O’Neal, who once played for the Orlando Magic, joked during the podcast that The Villages could be his ultimate retirement destination. He has visited The Villages including stumping for a political candidate several years ago at Lake Sumter Landing. During the podcast, O’Neal called retiring to The Villages “a dream scenario.” He even joked about The Villages having the “highest rate of STDs,” a longstanding misnomer that has been debunked.
Having a major sports figure live in The Villages has already happened. Golf legend Nancy Lopes had a home for several years in The Villages and a country club and championship golf continue to bear her name.

Why come up with something new when it's so much easier to keep kicking the dead horse you've been kicking for 16 years? "Trump administration policies have brought us to the point where we could return to the America of segregated bathrooms", said the National Urban League’s president at Rep. Ayanna Pressley’s unveiling of her Equity in Government Act on Wednesday.
According to the Massachusetts Democrat’s website, the bill would codify into law key parts of President Joe Biden’s Executive Orders 13985 and 14091 that promoted diversity, equity, and inclusion policies throughout government, “which Donald Trump revoked on his first day in office—to ensure that federal agencies continue their work to promote equal opportunity for all, including people of color, women, rural communities, individuals with disabilities, and others that have been systemically excluded from participating fully in economic, social, and civic life.”

For the record? Ichiro Suzuki is Japanese, not 'asian'. Why do people insist on bundling others in to groups? It makes no sense. So, anyway, he'll be the first Japanese player to be inducted in to the BBHOF. The man was a hitting machine. Good for him.

  2. That waste of oxygen, Ayanna Presley, sure as hell is not Sir Charles Barkley. I would compare her more to Uncle Fester Addams except I don't want to insult Uncle Fester...

  4. In response to Rep. Ayanna Pressley’s tirade about segregated bathrooms coming back, I will say that if that means only women using the Ladies Room, and only men using the Mens Room, then I for one am all for it.
