To my way of thinking, can't happen soon enough - especially with NPR...

The GOP is racing to meet a Friday deadline mandated by law for the bill, known as a rescissions package, to pass Congress, otherwise the Trump administration will be forced to spend the money. The House of Representatives approved the legislation last month by a narrow majority. The package will cancel $1.1bn budgeted for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which funds NPR and PBS, and about $8bn meant for foreign assistance programs. Rest of the article is behind the 'protestors'...

  3. 9 billion? Call me when you're REALLY making cuts. What's that...an hour of government spending? Or 10 minutes?

  4. I used to listen to NPR while commuting for work. Even as a Democrat, the constant anti-Trump was nauseating. I finally gave up and started listening to KFI-640. Pull the plug on PBS/NPR. They are lunatics.

  6. Sell PBS/NPR to the DNC for $1.00 and let them take over the funding of the payroll, along with general and administrative expenses. PBS/NPR is not a "Public" entity, it is the voice of the Democratic Party and their LGBTQ+ audience. Taxpayers should not be obliged to provide operating expense money to any organization that is as biased as PBS/NPR.
