How not to solve the homeless problem in Frisco...

RVs will be eliminated from parking long-term on San Francisco
city streets regardless of the time of day...

The city's plan includes giving RV residents a permit to park on the streets
for up to six months while they go through the housing process. "We are deploying a dedicate peer-based outreach team comprised of people with lived experiences of vehicular homelessness. The role will be to engage people living in large vehicles, assess their needs, determine their homelessness status and connect them with housing resources," said Emily Cohen with the SF Homelessness and Supportive Housing Department.
The City's 'Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing' (how's that for a moniker?) has confirmed in the past that they don't have enough housing for everyone in an RV.

So, you have no place to put them, the RV is their home, but you won't let them park anywhere. Interesting dilemma*, I'd say. Reason number 43,573 why the Land of Fruits and Nuts is exactly what their nickname implies...

*A dilemma is a difficult situation where one must choose between two or more options, none of which are particularly appealing. It often involves a conflict or a choice between undesirable alternatives.

  1. You used to be able to stop and camp almost anywhere along the coast but the "Karens" didn't like that. So little by little they've limited access to the beaches while they built their mansions on the bluffs that crumble into the sea every winter. There are a LOT of Karens in cal gov.

  4. They can't even stop people from shitting on their sidewalks. I doubt their parking enforcement is up to the task.
