With all those "who/what the heck are those" illegals that have come in anthropologists were surely needed.
I suspect this chart has a major flaw- it may be looking at employment strictly within the field of degree. A fair number of undergrad college degrees are superseded by graduate work (medicine for example, or business) so the degree holder wouldn't be employed in his original major. Physics and chemistry (and math as well) tend to be gateway training that leads to other degrees or employment 'outside' the field.
ReplyDeleteIt would help to know how many degrees in each field. 10% of 100 is ten. But 10% of 50 is only 5. Makes a difference.
DeleteEither no one is majoring in journalism, journalism grads are smart enough to get a job at Starbucks, or something really weird is going on.
