DJT will be visiting tomorrow...

Here's what you need to know about it:
The facility is located on an isolated airfield, the Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport, about 45 miles west of downtown Miami in the Everglades. It's been dubbed "Alligator Alcatraz" by state officials due to its remote location and the surrounding swamps filled with wildlife like alligators and pythons.
It's intended to be a temporary detention facility for undocumented migrants.
Deterrent: Supporters suggest the name and the facility's remote location are meant to act as a deterrent. Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier stated that if someone is housed there, there's "no way in, no way out".  The facility is expected to be ready for business soon, with a proposed capacity of 5,000 beds, and is estimated to cost $450 million per year.
The project has sparked controversy, with concerns raised by environmental and immigration advocate groups about its potential impact on the Everglades ecosystem and the well-being of the detainees. A lawsuit has been filed by environmentalists to stop its opening, alleging it violates environmental law.

Unlike the historic Alcatraz prison in San Francisco Bay, which does not have alligators or snakes, the Florida facility is specifically situated in an area known for these animals. The San Francisco Bay around Alcatraz Island does, however, contain sharks. The facility is a part of Florida's efforts to implement President Trump's immigration crackdown. He is expected to visit the facility tomorrow.

Stop me if I brag too much about how things are done here in Florida...

This message this afternoon from Governor Ron DeSantis: "Since I became governor in 2019, we have worked to maintain healthy reserves to ensure Florida can weather storms or other unforeseen disasters. With this year’s commitment, we have increased our state’s Rainy Day Fund three-fold to the constitutional maximum. We’re in great fiscal shape and prepared for any challenges that come our way."

This is exactly what red State leadership is all about. Fiscal responsibility, tax breaks for hard-working citizens, a Law & Order mentality that makes us safer, lower regulations, and all-around solid leadership. This guy has 2028 written all over him. I hope he can get there - he'll be two years out of office by the time primaries roll around again.

Your Monday HillBettys. Plural today......

If you like well-written, hard-hitting
spy novels (most of which involve Arab countries and terrorists) and you've
never read any of Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp series,
take my word for it. These are great.
I've read every one...

They're making a mockery of the process. And themselves at the same time...

Social media users are seeing right through the grandstanding of Senate Democrats as they pull out every trick in the book to delay the passage of the GOP's 'big, beautiful' budget bill.
Trump has imposed a deadline of July 4th for the passage of his signature domestic policy legislation, and the bill still although passing in the Senate, the House of Representatives has yet to choose whether or not to vote on the Senate's version.
At 11:08 PM Saturday evening, when he was sure no one was watching what they were doing, Democrat Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer called for the bill to be read in its entirety, kicking off the hours long marathon reading of the 940 page document.
Honest to god - what kinda schoolyard bullshit is this? It sure as fuck isn't theater, it has no meaning or relevance, and makes them all look like fucking idiots. Maybe he shoulda had Spartacus read the whole thing. It mighta made it in to the Sunday Funnies.

Under $ 10.00 - very reasonable. I own one.

Who smokes more than us?

This graphic illustrates the percentage of tobacco smokers aged 15 and above in select countries, broken down by gender.  The chart lists male smoking rates for Indonesia (72.8%), China (44.4%), S. Korea (39.6%), France (35.2%), Russia (31.4%), Japan (26.5%), U.S. (22.8%), Germany (21.4%), Brazil (14.1%), and India (10.9%).
Corresponding female smoking rates are also shown for these countries: Indonesia (1.8%), China (1.4%), S. Korea (18.2%), France (34%), Russia (5.7%), Japan (9.1%), U.S. (16%), Germany (18%), Brazil (8.1%), and India (0.9%).
The chart highlights significant gender disparities in smoking rates in many countries, such as Indonesia where male smoking rates are considerably higher than female rates, while in countries like France, the rates are much closer.

Does Trump think New Yorl weill have a socialist Mayor? Maybe, but...

Guardian.com - Donald Trump on Sunday threatened to cut New York City off from federal funds if favored mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, a democratic socialist, “doesn’t behave himself” should he be elected.
Mamdani, meanwhile, denied that he was – as the president said – a communist. But he reaffirmed his commitment to raise taxes on the wealthiest New Yorkers while saying: “I don’t think that we should have billionaires.”
In an interview with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo, Trump argued that a Mamdani victory was “inconceivable” because he perceived the candidate to be “a pure communist”. He added: “Let’s say this – if he does get in, I’m going to be president, and he’s going to have to do the right thing, or they’re not getting any money. He’s got to do the right thing or they’re not getting any money.”

More than $100bn flows to the city from the federal government through different entities and programs, according to the city’s comptroller last year.

Damned if ya do, damned if ya don't...

When a news outlet has an agenda, they're going to present any issue they don't like in a way that'll cloud the story. In this case, NBC News reports that
"After six months of aggressive immigration enforcement and promises to focus on deporting violent criminals, the Trump administration has arrested and detained a small fraction of the undocumented immigrants already known to Immigration and Customs Enforcement as having been convicted of sexual assault and homicide. The most common categories of crimes they committed were immigration and traffic offenses."
Okay, so, rather than celebrating the fact that in just six short months, ICE has already been able to find and capture over 750 of them, they say ICE isn't performing up to their (NBC's) standard. Wudda buncha jerkoffs these people are...

A hodgepodge coalition of groups, ranging from environmental activists to Native Americans advocating for their 'ancestral homelands' (we call them swamps), converged outside an airstrip in the Florida Everglades Saturday to protest construction of an immigrant detention center.
Hundreds of protesters lined part of U.S. Highway 41 that slices through the marshy Everglades — also known as Tamiami Trail — as dump trucks hauling materials lumbered into the airfield. Cars passing by honked in support as protesters waved signs calling for the protection of the expansive preserve that is home to a few Native tribes and several endangered animal species.
So - lets worry about protecting alligators and pythons instead of locking up criminals. Sounds like a plan to me.

By the way - know why they didn't go into the road and block traffic? Well, about two weeks ago our governor stated - for the record - that Florida drivers have every right to try to escape by any means necessary if the feel theatened. Ya get it?

No contest - it's this one. Jeezis...

Her huge fake tits and hippo-sized ass  practically busted out of her nude-coloured corset lingerie set that she wore to that wedding of those rich people in Venice.
The vintage-style bodice* was accompanied by a sheer tulle skirt and trail as she donned matching stockings. She lloks like every whore who ever worked in any saloon in the old west. People like her are perfect exampples of why the 'cult of personality' is so wrong on so many levels...

*A bodice is the upper part of a woman's dress, typically covering the torso from the neck or shoulders to the waist. It can also refer to a separate, fitted garment, like a vest or corset, worn over a blouse or dress. The term "bodice" is derived from the word "body," reflecting its function of covering the body's torso.

Making changes in higher education? Yup - at least here in the Sunsine State...

Florida is launching the Commission for Public Higher Education, a new state-backed accrediting body for colleges and universities.
This initiative aims to: Break the accreditation monopoly by challenging the dominance of existing accreditors like the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), which Florida views as imposing politicized ideological standards.
It will restore academic quality, shifting the focus of accreditation back to ensuring academic quality and student success, rather than enforcing "DEI mandates" and other perceived political agendas.
It will also serve as a new model for other states seeking to reform higher education and reclaim academic standards from what Florida calls the "accreditation cartel".
Governor DeSantis said today: "Florida has set an example for the country in reclaiming higher education—and we’re working to make that success permanent. That means breaking the activist-controlled accreditation monopoly. Today, I announced that the Commission for Public Higher Education will offer a new accreditation model for Florida colleges and universities. With transparent, rigorous, outcomes-based standards, this accreditor will help ensure the Free State of Florida leads the way in higher education for decades to come."

While other 'less red' states worry about their illegals getting free everything, our Governor is working on making the State of Florida a beacon for other states to follow. Be interesting to see if they do. Who's up first - Texas maybe?
