The definition of what is supposed to be the separation of powers within our government is simple - and abused on an almost daily basis. Theoretically, it is a fundamental principle of government that is meant to divide governmental authority into three distinct branches: legislative, executive, and judicial.
Each branch has specific duties and cannot encroach on the powers of the other branches. This division prevents one branch from becoming too powerful and ensures a system of checks and balances, but those so-called 'checks and balances' are abused by special-interest groups judge-shopping in very specific, very liberal juristictions.
At some point, SCOTUS has to get involved and end this bullshit, but we need SCOTUS to make wider-reaching decisions that will cut down on this specific abuse. We'll see how all of this bullshit political football plays out. In the meantime, try not to watch too closely. Your head might spin off...

With the exception of Thomas and maybe Alito the SCOTUS is just as if not more corrupt than the district and appellate courts.
ReplyDeleteLol, Thomas is on the take.
DeleteProve it....and such denigrating comments about conservatives are ALWAYS made by "anonymous" idiots.
DeleteAmericans are cowards.
ReplyDeleteThe Supreme Court is bought or blackmailed, not much relief will be coming from them.
